SUMMARY OF BASIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of ASAE’s Certified Association Executive (CAE) program. The Credentialing Coordinator ensures that credentialing program applications and records are properly processed and maintained; provides staff support for several volunteer committees, and assists in marketing and communication initiatives of the credentialing programs. In addition, the Credentialing Coordinator provides prompt and effective handling of inquiries from program stakeholders, and support for credentialing program committees.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the receipt and timely processing of CAE applications in accord with program policies and credentialing best practices. Manage the CAE exam administration which includes securing proctors and establishing test sites. Process certificates of achievement for CAEs, billing for exam fees and correspondence for CAE-related activities. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills while responding promptly and professionally to requests from applicants, candidates, and certificants. Support the integrity of the database by updating membership records, using this information to compile statistics, pull reports and analyze data. Maintain departmental supplies and well-organized program records; including proper security, document destruction and candidate confidentiality. Maintain a working relationship with members, volunteers and vendors. Provide staff support for credentialing program committees; such as securing meeting space, making food arrangements and taking meeting minutes. Manage listservs and update the website. Train new hires and temps to understand the level of service that is expected in accord with our mission statement and overall strategic goals of the organization. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. NOTES: Local Residents Preferred (No Relo). Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with experience EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year professional office experience in an association, or demonstrated collegiate accomplishments related to credentialing, academic testing, or volunteer management. ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Outstanding attention to detail, customer service, interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effective time-management skills. A team-player who can work independently within well-defined policy directives is a must. Proficient with Microsoft Office software; database experience. |
