The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is recruiting for a Director, Certification for its nationally accredited certification and recertification program the director is expected to provide leadership, strategic direction and management of the examination and recertification processes which includes the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination and recertification program including the work of the Certification Council and other PTCB subject-matter experts, consistent with the PTCB mission. To manage successful computer-based testing; to work effectively with all PTCB vendors and staff executing the Certification Program; to represent PTCB at credentialing meetings; to develop, implement, and as appropriate, revise procedures for the recertification program; to promote the value of PTCB certification; and complete special projects as assigned such as the practice analysis update.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of roles and functions of certification systems and procedures, knowledge of NCAA standards, experience with computer database software, ability to work effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and technician educators serving as PTCB subject-matter experts, supervisory experience and demonstrated skill in program coordination/management.
